Privacy Policy

How ParkGuard collects, uses, stores and protects information used for parking operations and enforcement.

Effective: 3 October 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when organisations and their authorised users use ParkGuard, including the ParkGuard Android application, web services and related cloud functionality.

1. Information we collect

ParkGuard may collect and process information that authorised users enter into the platform or that is generated while using the service. Depending on how an organisation uses ParkGuard, this may include:

  • Account and profile information, including name, email address, authentication details and assigned role.
  • Organisation information, including company membership, sites, parking zones, parking policies and user permissions.
  • Vehicle information, including registration numbers and information recorded for parking management or enforcement purposes.
  • Parking-session information, including site, zone, start and completion details and enforcement status.
  • Enforcement and clamp records, including notices, case details, clamp status, release information and related operational notes.
  • Photographic evidence captured or uploaded by authorised users in connection with parking or enforcement activity.
  • Payment records entered by authorised users for payments completed through external methods such as cash, EFTPOS, bank transfer or supported mobile payment services.
  • Subscription and entitlement information required to provide and manage ParkGuard plans.
  • Technical and synchronisation information needed to operate, secure and troubleshoot the service.

2. How we use information

We use information processed through ParkGuard to:

  • Provide parking management, monitoring and enforcement functions.
  • Authenticate users and apply role-based access controls.
  • Maintain parking sessions, vehicle records, enforcement cases, evidence, clamp records, sites, zones and policies.
  • Synchronise authorised operational data between supported devices and cloud services.
  • Provide reporting, audit and administrative functions.
  • Manage subscriptions, plan limits and access to eligible ParkGuard services.
  • Maintain service security, reliability, support and troubleshooting.
  • Comply with applicable legal obligations and respond to valid legal requests where required.

3. Parking and enforcement payments

ParkGuard does not process parking fines, enforcement charges or similar operational payments inside the app. Authorised users may record that a payment was completed using an organisation's configured external payment method. ParkGuard app subscriptions may be purchased and managed through Google Play, and Google's own privacy and payment terms apply to those transactions.

4. Local storage and cloud synchronisation

ParkGuard is designed to support offline-first operation. Operational information may be stored locally on an authorised device so work can continue when connectivity is limited. When connectivity is available, supported data may be synchronised with ParkGuard's cloud services. Organisations should protect devices used for ParkGuard with appropriate device security controls.

5. Service providers and data sharing

We do not sell personal information. ParkGuard uses service providers where necessary to operate the platform. These may process information on our behalf subject to their applicable terms and safeguards.

ParkGuard uses Supabase services for functions including authentication, database storage, file storage and real-time/synchronisation features. Google Play services are used for supported Android app subscription purchases and subscription management.

Information may also be disclosed where required by law, to respond to a valid legal process, to protect the security or integrity of the service, or with the direction or authorisation of the organisation responsible for the relevant ParkGuard account.

6. Organisation access and responsibility

ParkGuard is primarily provided to organisations for parking operations and enforcement. Information entered by an organisation's authorised users may be accessible to other authorised users of that organisation according to their assigned roles and permissions. Organisations are responsible for ensuring they have an appropriate basis and authority to collect and use information they enter into ParkGuard.

7. Data retention and deletion

Information is retained for as long as reasonably necessary to provide ParkGuard, support legitimate operational and record-keeping needs, satisfy applicable subscription features, resolve disputes, maintain security and comply with legal obligations.

Authorised account holders may request assistance with account or data deletion by contacting support@parkguard.online. Some information may need to be retained where required for legal, security, audit or legitimate organisational record-keeping purposes.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures intended to protect information processed through ParkGuard. These include authentication, role-based permissions, company data separation and controlled access to cloud-hosted information. No electronic storage or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

9. International and cloud processing

ParkGuard relies on cloud-based service providers. As a result, information may be processed or stored in countries other than the country in which a user or organisation is located. Where applicable, we rely on the safeguards and contractual protections provided by our service providers and applicable law.

10. Children's privacy

ParkGuard is a business parking-management and enforcement platform intended for authorised organisational users. It is not directed to children and is not designed for use by children.

11. Your privacy requests

Depending on applicable law and the relationship between a user and the organisation operating a ParkGuard account, individuals may have rights relating to access, correction or deletion of their information. Requests can be sent to support@parkguard.online. Where an organisation controls the relevant record, we may direct the request to that organisation.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when ParkGuard, our service providers, or applicable requirements change. The current version will be published on this page with its effective date.
